Christmas!

I hope everyone had as good a Christmas as I did. I love my family and I have just been hanging out with them all weekend. It's been so fun to just relax, play games, hang out, go tubing and have fun together.

Can I just say that my sister Cherish is amazing. She memorized The Living Christ and quoted it to my Dad before he had to leave for work. It reminded me of the reason we even have Christmas and also the reason why my family is so close and also why there is so much love in it. I love my Savior! How grateful I am for His sacrifice for me and for everyone. I know that it is only through Him that my family can be eternal. What an amazing blessing!

I am grateful for my family and for all of my friends. I love you all and I hope that this coming year will be a wonderful year for all of us! :)

Crazy Friends!

LOL! So I walked out to my car after student teaching this morning and this is what I saw! Gotta love those crazy friends. Thanks for making me feel special Nad'a! :)

I have always loved the Thanksgiving holiday, maybe it has to do with my birthday being close to it, but I also love the spirit of gratitude and love that it brings. This song was performed by Johnny Cash on the Dr. Quinn Medicine Woman show. I loved it and wanted to share it. :) Enjoy

Witches!!

The other weekend my friend, Brandy, and I went to the Gardner Village in West Jordan and saw the little Halloween program they had there and walked around to see all of the witches that they had set up. It was so much fun! The witches were hilarious and the program was way cute. We had dinner and they performed a little play for us. Loved it! And it was fun to see Brandy again!

This totally reminds me of the Wizard of Oz!

I absolutely LOVED this one! Made me laugh! Her hips were actually moving! And if you can't read what the sign says, it says this, "CAUTION! World Record Hula Hooping in progress. Please Stand Back!" LOL

This one was great too. I don't know exactly how they did the green stuff in the cauldron but it was cool!

October is Here!

Well the month of October has begun and with it has come some pretty chilly weather. I wasn't looking forward to cold weather AT ALL! I think Brazil has made me weak when it comes to cold weather. I get cold so easily. But my sister Cherish helped me see the error of my complaining ways. Cold weather can be a good thing. It means hot chocolate, building fires, playing in the snow, wearing cute sweaters, and of course FOOTBALL SEASON! So I am trying to be better about complaining about being cold...however I'm not sure I'm doing a very good job. ;)

One thing that I do LOVE about October though, is Halloween! It is such a fun time! Especially with all of my nieces and nephews! I love to see the imaginative things they come up with for their costumes!

Roommate Pictures!

On Saturday my roommates and I went down to Moroni and had my sister-in-law, Ciara, take our pictures. They turned out so cute! Here are a few of them...I don't have all of them yet, so I'll be posting more later on.

Hunting with the Fam

A few weeks ago I went hunting with my parents, my 3 older brothers and my nephew Bo. It was so nice! The mountains were beautiful. We didn't see any elk though. But here's a pic of that great adventure. :)

School has begun...

One Last Week of Freedom

Well...there is one more week left of summer. Aghhh! I'm not quite ready for school to start up again. It's so crazy! But at the same time, it's good. I better live it up though with this last week of freedom.

Last weekend was so much fun! I went hiking all over in Fairview Canyon with my parents, my three older brothers, and one of my nephews. The guys were hunting of course and my mom and I were there to look for elk, look at the beautiful scenery, and hike hike hike! It was awesome! I was pretty sore the next day, but it was so worth it!

Hummingbird Attacks!

OK...I am NOT exaggerating when I say this but Hummingbirds LOVE to attack me! I don't know why and I certainly don't like it! I've always thought that they were beautiful creatures. But for some reason they just love to take Kamikaze dives at me! Especially my head! It's happened so many times throughout my life that I can't call it a coincidence anymore. It happened today! There I was all peaceful, laying out in the wonderful hot sun, when all of a sudden I hear a buzz of wings that sends a chill up my spine. And there's a blasted hummingbird ready to take a nose-dive at me! I tried to hold perfectly still hoping that it would just leave me alone, but the dang thing came at me! What else was I supposed to do but get up and run into the house?! And you know what that tiny, crazy bird did?! It tried to follow! But I shut the door before it could follow through on its plans. bwa ha ha ha.... Can anyone explain this to me?

Time for some more Calvin!

When it comes to comics Calvin and Hobbes is the very best!!! Whenever I need a pick-me-up this is what I do...I read a few Calvin and Hobbes comic strips. So just in case you need to laugh here are a few. :) SMILE! Life is WONDERFUL!!!

Heavenly Father Knows...

Heavenly Father knows exactly what we need and when we need it. It's a good thing He's in charge because we would SERIOUSLY mess a lot of things up! Lately I've been thinking about where I am at in my life. It's quite a bit different than what I had imagined while I was "growing up". But the Lord knew that I needed to live where I do and be with the people that I'm with. I wouldn't have the opportunities that I do right now if things had gone the way that I planned them. I LOVE my roommates! And my family! And I wouldn't have become so close to all of them without my life going the way that it has. So, as Garth Brooks sings, "Sometimes I thank God, for unanswered prayers." :)

Lake Powell

So for the 4th of July I went to Lake Powell with my roommates. It was such a blast! I'd never been to Lake Powell, so it was a fun new experience for me. Here are some pictures from that great adventure. (Little warning: some of these are a little scary of me. lol)

Today is the last day of the work week and after today I will be free for an entire week! That's right! I'm headed to the beautiful Boulder mountains with my family and I am SO excited! I can hardly wait! It feels like this day is dragging by ever so slowly and I'll never be able to leave this workdesk! AGhhhhhhhhhh! :)

Memorial Day

I spent Memorial Day with my family, we went and found lilacs and put them on Aunt Erlene's gravesite, little Rachel's gravesite, and of course, Shara's gravesite. The lilacs looked beautiful.

X-Men Marathon

So my sister Camie and I are a little obsessed...with X-MEN!!! Yeah baby!!! Especially Wolverine! :) So last Saturday we had an X-men movie marathon. We had just gone to see the new Wolverine movie (which was really good by the way) so we decided that we needed to watch the other three again because it had been so long. It was so much fun to watch those with her and eat treats and laugh and just have a good time together. :)

I just LOVE Calvin and Hobbes and I really liked this one, sometimes I feel just like this...only not always with show and tell. ;)

SCHOOL'S OUT FOR THE SUMMER!!!!!

YAY YAY YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! School is finally out! I just finished my last final today and I am SO looking forward to a break this summer! I can't wait to go camping, fishing, b-b-quing and EVERYTHING!

For Kelly's birthday we went to Carrabas. Yummy! We ate so much food! I don't think I've ever seen 4 girls put away so much food at one meal before. lol It was delicious and we had a great time!

Peanut Butter Cookies

Camie made peanut butter cookies for the girl's night party...at first they didn't turn out like she wanted. They still tasted really good though! But once she added a bit more flour they were perfect. It was yummy Camie! Thanks for letting me crash at your house this weekend!!!!!!

Ha ha! I didn't even see this face coming! Usually I can tell when someone else is making a funny face so that I can do it with them. LOL Camie caught me off guard. Hee hee
